LUTHERAN CEMETERY (NEAR ENTRANCE) AT GLENDALE STATION, OCTOBER 3,1906
| At the left is George Gundolf’s saloon on Clinton Avenue (now on 70th Avenue and 73rd Street) built in 1891. For a while it became a combination saloon and florist shop. Gundolf’s widow revived the saloon after prohibition; it is still a bar today. The building at the right now a residence, was a saloon run by Christian Kirschmann and later Balbina Lorenz, but owned by Joseph Bermel, Borough President of Queens from 1905 through 1907.
